The most common questions clients ask about Medicare, IUL, annuities, and working with Clarity Benefits. Plain English. No jargon. No spin.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a private plan — often at $0 premium, including dental and vision. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare to pay the gaps it leaves — deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. Plan G is the most comprehensive Medigap option. The right choice depends on your health, doctors, and budget. Our agents compare both options for every client.
Your Initial Enrollment Period begins 3 months before your 65th birthday, includes your birthday month, and extends 3 months after — a 7-month window total. Missing this window without qualifying coverage can result in permanent late enrollment penalties added to your premium every month for life. Annual Open Enrollment runs October 15 – December 7 each year for plan changes.
Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does NOT cover dental, vision, hearing, long-term custodial care, most prescription drugs, or care outside the United States. These gaps are why Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans exist. Most Medicare Advantage plans include dental, vision, and hearing at no extra cost.
Nothing. Every consultation, comparison, and enrollment through Clarity Benefits is 100% free to the client. Clarity Benefits is compensated by the insurance carriers — never by the individuals it serves.
Clarity Benefits is licensed and actively serving clients in 10+ states including Texas, Connecticut, and Florida — with ongoing expansion. Consultations are available by phone or Zoom for clients anywhere in a licensed state, and in person at the Plano, Texas office.
An Indexed Universal Life (IUL) policy is a permanent life insurance contract with a cash value account linked to a market index. Your floor is zero — meaning you cannot lose principal due to market performance. When the index rises, your cash value captures a portion of the gain. In retirement, you access the cash value as tax-free policy loans — paying zero income tax on your distributions. IULs also have no IRS contribution limits and no Required Minimum Distributions.
A fixed annuity is an insurance contract that guarantees a set interest rate for a defined term — similar to a CD but typically with a higher guaranteed rate. Unlike a CD, growth inside a fixed annuity is tax-deferred (you don't pay taxes until withdrawal). Fixed annuities also offer a lifetime income conversion option and direct beneficiary transfer — both unavailable with bank CDs.
Clarity Benefits is a fully independent agency. The agency is not captive to any carrier, holds no preferred vendor agreements, and operates under no carrier quota arrangements. Every recommendation is made solely based on the client's documented needs — compared across a broad portfolio of top-rated national carriers.
Our licensed agents are available to answer any question — by phone, Zoom, or in person at our Plano office. Free, no obligation.
